The Chinese Embassy in Thailand issued the "Precautions for Traveling to Thailand during the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival Holiday" on September 20. With the National Day holiday approaching, in order for your trip to Thailand with your family to be smooth and successful, the Embassy kindly reminds you to pay attention to the following matters: 1. Pre-trip preparations. According to relevant regulations of the Immigration Bureau, please confirm that your passport is valid for more than 6 months and is undamaged. Prepare your round-trip airline tickets, hotel reservations in Thailand, and a certain amount of cash for emergencies. Please fill out the Thailand electronic immigration card 3 days before entering the country and keep it for reference. Purchase overseas travel insurance in advance to be prepared. 2. Entry requirements. Follow the relevant laws and regulations of entry and exit in Thailand, cooperate with port inspections, and do not take photos or videos in the restricted areas of airports to avoid hindrances to entry and damage to your own rights. If you are carrying a drone, you need to report it to the Thai government in advance and get approval. Do not bring or use e-cigarettes and related products. 3. Weather conditions. Recent heavy rainfall has affected many areas in Thailand, with increased risks of flash floods in the northern mountainous regions and rough seas in the southern waters. Before traveling, please closely monitor the weather forecast, plan your itinerary reasonably, and stay away from dangerous areas where natural disasters may occur. 4. Safety during activities. Please choose to take public transportation or hire a car through legitimate channels. Participate in recreational activities within your capabilities, follow the instructions of professionals, wear safety equipment throughout, and travel with companions. Be cautious when choosing high-risk activities such as hiking, jungle trekking, cave exploration, and snorkeling. Do not swim when there are red flags at the beach, and do not swim in the hotel pool when it is not open. Keep an eye on the elderly and children throughout the trip. 5. Traveling responsibly. Respect local customs, protect the environment, and stay away from illegal activities. If you have disputes with travel agencies, airlines, or other organizations, resolve them rationally, keep evidence, and seek solutions through negotiation or legal means.
