From January to August this year, Chongqing's automobile production reached 1.659 million units, a year-on-year increase of 7.6%, with the production of new energy vehicles reaching 690,000 units, a year-on-year increase of over 31%. The growth rate of the automotive industry added value reached 11% (Xinhua News Agency).
