In recent years, Chongqing has seized the opportunities of electrification and intelligence, taking smart connected new energy vehicles as a stepping stone. Through technological innovation and brand reshaping, it has promoted the high-end, intelligent, and cluster development of the automotive industry, continuously building a first-class industrial ecosystem and achieving the "three upward" leap of product, brand, and industrial chain. From January to August this year, Chongqing's automobile production reached 1.659 million vehicles, an increase of 7.6% year-on-year, with production of new energy vehicles reaching 690,000 vehicles, an increase of over 31%, and the growth rate of the automobile industry's value added reaching 11%.
