On Thursday, August 21st, the New York spot gold price fell by 0.30% to $3338.22 per ounce at the close. In the early Asia-Pacific session, it slightly rose to $3352.15 per ounce, hitting a daily high before quickly reversing to continue trading at a low level. At 19:03 Beijing time, it hit a daily low of $3325.42, displaying a V-shaped trend from 18:00 to 20:10. COMEX gold futures also fell by 0.17% to $3382.90 per ounce, hitting a daily low of $3367.40 at 19:03. The Philadelphia Gold and Silver Index rose by 2.05% to 234.99 points, with the US stock market opening to a continuous, significant rise in the first hour followed by high level turbulence for the remaining time.
