Hubei province has initiated a level four flood control emergency response.

According to the current flood prevention situation, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Hubei Province Flood Control and Drought Relief Emergency Plan", after research, the Office of the Hubei Province Flood Control and Drought Relief Command decided to activate the level four flood control emergency response at 12:00 on August 9. From the afternoon of August 9 to August 12, there will be a strong rainfall process in Hubei Province, with heavy rain to torrential rain in western and northern Hubei and other areas, accompanied by short-term heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and strong convective weather such as local heavy rainfall exceeding 200 mm, and isolated heavy rainfall may exceed 300 mm.
