The Ministry of Natural Resources has initiated a level IV response to geological disaster prevention in Anhui and Shaanxi provinces.

According to the meteorological departments forecast, there will be heavy rainfall in some areas of Anhui and Shaanxi in the next three days. The Geological Hazard Technical Guidance Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources has assessed that there is a high risk of geological disasters in western Anhui and southern Shaanxi, among other areas. In accordance with the "Action Plan for Geological Disaster Prevention and Response" of the Ministry of Natural Resources, the ministry initiated a level IV response to geological disaster prevention at 6:00 pm on August 9th.
