The transportation department is making every effort to clear the disaster-hit roads in Yuzhong County, Lanzhou.

Since August 7th, continuous heavy rainfall in Yuzhong County, Lanzhou City, Gansu Province and other areas has triggered flash floods, causing damage and blockage to multiple roads. The Ministry of Transport has strengthened dispatch guidance, urging the Gansu transportation department to implement proactive measures for extreme weather defense, and has dispatched work teams to the scene to fully support the clearing and rebuilding of roads in the disaster area. By 10:00 am on August 9th, the national highway G312, county road X218, and some village roads have been cleared. By 4:00 pm, 95% of the roads in the disaster area have been restored to traffic; the remaining water-damaged sections are expected to be cleared by the evening of the 9th.
