Chen Jining led the Shanghai delegation to deeply study and investigate in Shigatse, Tibet, to promote the deep and solid progress of various support work.

From July 11th to 12th, the Shanghai delegation led by Chen Jining, secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee, accompanied by Wang Junzheng, secretary of the Tibet Autonomous Region Party Committee, went to Dingri County, Saga County, and Lazi County in Shigatse City to learn and investigate, inspecting the progress of post-earthquake recovery and reconstruction work, understanding the implementation and progress of paired assistance projects, closely combining with the planning of the "14th Five-Year Plan" development, earnestly listening to the thoughts and suggestions of local cadres and masses, better assisting the long-term stability and high-quality development of the snowy plateau, jointly writing a new chapter in deepening exchanges and cooperation between Shanghai and Tibet, and making new contributions to promoting China's modernization. Chen Jining said that we should based on local resources, strengthen the complementary advantages of Shanghai and Tibet, make a major effort in industries support, help the paired areas cultivate a number of market-promising and well-developed major varieties, further strengthen characteristic industries, establish a plateau brand, stimulate endogenous motivation, expand income channels, and let the local people live a good life.
