The Sudanese armed forces claim to have recaptured two important military bases in the city of Fashir.

On July 12th local time, the Sudanese armed forces stated that they had launched a military operation in the capital of North Darfur state, Fashir City, in western Sudan. They claimed to have taken control of two important military bases in the western part of the city. The Sudanese armed forces reported that they had recaptured the Central Reserve Forces camp in the western part of Fashir City and another military stronghold, killing 60 armed members of the Rapid Support Forces during the operation. The Rapid Support Forces have not yet responded to this.
