The 17th Summit of the Organization for Economic Cooperation between China and Western Asia was held in Azerbaijan.

The 17th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization of Central and Western Asia was held in the city of Ganja, Azerbaijan on the 4th, with the theme "A New Vision for a Sustainable and Climate-Resilient Future for the ECO Region". Leaders at the summit discussed topics such as trade liberalization, green transformation, climate change, transport corridors, institutional capacity building, reaffirming support for expanding cooperation in areas such as energy, science, education, and tourism in the ECO region to promote inclusive development. President Aliyev of Azerbaijan stated that Azerbaijan has a favorable investment environment, having received nearly $350 billion in investment over the past 20 years, half of which is foreign investment. Azerbaijan exports natural gas to 12 countries through multiple gas pipelines.
