Auto companies heading overseas have added a new channel. The "Tianjin Port - Peru Callao Port" new route has launched its maiden voyage.
Recently, the Marshall Islands-flagged "Minjiangkou" cargo ship, carrying nearly 1500 domestically produced cars, set sail from Tianjin Port towards the west coast of South America. This marks the official opening of the "Tianjin Port - Peru Callao Port" international roll-on/roll-off route, providing a new channel for car companies in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region to expand overseas. It is understood that the Port of Callao in Peru is an emerging hub on the west coast of South America, with its geographical advantage of radiating economic belts in southeast Brazil and northern Argentina, making it a "golden gateway" for China-Latin America trade. As a northern international shipping hub in China, nearly half of the import and export operations at Tianjin Port involve vehicles from car companies in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and new sea routes are continuously being opened.
