Intel's foundry: Intel's 18A process node has entered the risk trial production stage and will be mass produced this year.
At the 2025 Intel Foundry Conference, Intel shared the latest progress in multi-generation core processes and advanced packaging technologies, and announced new ecosystem projects and partnerships. It is reported that in terms of process technology, Intel Foundry has collaborated with major customers on the Intel 14A process technology, and sent out early versions of the Intel 14A PDK. These customers have expressed interest in manufacturing test chips based on this node. Compared to the PowerVia backside power supply technology used in Intel 18A, Intel 14A will use PowerDirect direct contact power supply technology. At the same time, the Intel 18A process node has entered the risk production stage and will achieve formal production within this year. Intel Foundry's ecosystem partners provide EDA support, reference flows, and intellectual property licenses for Intel 18A, allowing customers to start product design based on this node.
