Population data of 31 provinces: 10 provinces account for nearly six-tenths of the birth rate, while 11 provinces have natural population growth.
As of April 25th, the population data of 2024 of all 31 provinces has been fully disclosed. After sorting, it was found that among the 31 provinces, 8 provinces showed a positive growth in permanent population last year, while 3 provinces had a stable permanent population compared to the previous year. In terms of birth population, the top 10 provinces with the highest number of births last year were Guangdong, Henan, Shandong, Sichuan, Hebei, Jiangsu, Guangxi, Guizhou, Zhejiang, and Yunnan. The total number of births in these top ten provinces last year accounted for 58.6% of the national birth population, nearly six-tenths. Among them, Guangdong, Henan, and Shandong had birth populations of 1.13 million, 762,000, and 649,000 respectively last year. Among the 30 provinces that have disclosed birth population data, 10 provinces had a birth rate exceeding 8, which are Tibet, Ningxia, Guizhou, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Hainan, Guangdong, Yunnan, Guangxi, and Gansu, mainly located in the western and southern regions.
