Shanghai's first megawatt-level supercharging station has been put into operation, which can achieve "charging for five minutes, driving for one hundred kilometers".

The first megawatt-level ultra-fast charging station in Shanghai, "Transportation Strong Country Station 1", was put into operation in the new area of Lingang in the Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone on the 26th, enabling commercial vehicles to "charge for five minutes and drive one hundred kilometers". According to the introduction of Lingang Energy Service Center of State Grid Shanghai Pudong Power Supply Company, the maximum charging power of a single ultra-fast charging pile is 1.5 megawatts, which is 5 to 6 times that of a normal commercial vehicle charging pile. It can fully charge an electric heavy-duty truck with 300 kWh in 15 minutes, allowing a fully loaded electric heavy-duty truck weighing 40 tons to travel over 200 kilometers, meeting the charging needs of different types of vehicles such as ultra-fast charging heavy-duty trucks, normal heavy-duty trucks, and light-duty trucks.
