Google will stop supporting early Nest thermostats on October 25th.

Google announced this week that starting on October 25th, it will no longer provide support for the first and second generation Nest Learning Thermostats, nor will it release any more related software updates. In addition, Google will completely stop launching new Nest products in Europe. Google stated: "In order to fully invest in technological advancements and bring you the cutting-edge features on our latest generation of Nest thermostats, we will gradually stop support for the three oldest devices, each of which has been in use for over a decade."
