From the on-site meeting of the State Ethnic Affairs Commission held in Tengchong, Yunnan, it was learned that since the 14th Five-Year Plan, the central government has allocated a total of 25.2 billion yuan in subsidies for rural revitalization to border provinces and regions, supporting the accelerated development of industries such as characteristic agriculture and animal husbandry, ethnic handicrafts, and tourism. The main leaders of the State Ethnic Affairs Commission stated at the meeting that border areas are continuously building a modern industrial system through cultivating characteristic industries, activating emerging industries, and upgrading traditional industries, driving employment and income increases for border residents, and accelerating the development of border tourism like border tourism, cross-border tourism, and ice and snow tourism. Next, the State Ethnic Affairs Commission will focus on promoting industrial development in border areas, further advancing the "private enterprises entering border areas" initiative and the improvement of ethnic handicraft brands, organizing and carrying out the "national sales of border specialties" activities, helping specialty industries integrate into the construction of the national unified large market, effectively promoting high-quality development in border areas.
