The first port LNG bunkering operation at Kwai Tsing Container Terminals in Hong Kong will be conducted in the near future.
On the 26th, Chen Meibao, Director of the Transport and Logistics Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, stated in his blog that the first liquefied natural gas refueling operation at the Kwai Tsing Container Terminal in Hong Kong will be carried out in the short term, attracting more cargo ships to use Hong Kong as a refueling point. She said that the port is a "golden signboard" of Hong Kong, with Hong Kong-registered ships ranking fourth in the world in terms of total tonnage, and a port congestion rate of only 0.69%, which is extremely low compared to the global average port congestion rate of 3.3%. In the face of uncertain factors in the international shipping market, the Bureau will continue to work with the industry to explore response strategies.
