Manufacturing fake intangible cultural heritage, AI generating fake miracle doctors, the company involved is under investigation.

On April 25th, China National Radio exclusively reported that the popular health patch "Miao Gu Gold Patch" on the e-commerce platform was suspected of false advertising. The product claims to be made by the inheritor of a "thousand-year-old secret formula" intangible cultural heritage, but the inheritor is actually generated by AI. The "intangible cultural heritage inheritor" certificate displayed on the product page was illegally produced by an organization. In response to the illegal clues, the Xiamen Municipal Market Supervision Bureau quickly responded, and the Jimei District Market Supervision Bureau organized elite forces to go to the company involved in the incident and conduct verification and disposal overnight. Preliminary investigations revealed that Xiamen Zhuijian Technology Co., Ltd., Xiamen Letu Network Technology Co., Ltd., Miao Gu Gold Patch Pharmacy Co., Ltd., and other companies were involved in the report. Currently, these companies have a total of nine online stores on platforms such as Taobao, JD.com, Pinduoduo, and Douyin, mainly selling medical devices such as "Miao Gu Gold Patch Neck Patches." Law enforcement officers inspected the online stores involved and found that the product detail pages had words like "intangible cultural heritage inheritor," "thousand-year-old Miao formula," "specific for cervical spine issues," with some stores showing sales figures like "sold over 5 million+" and "sold 600,000+." Law enforcement officers immediately extracted and secured relevant evidence on-site, and ordered the parties to remove all links to the products mentioned above. The Jimei District Bureau has lawfully opened an investigation into the parties involved in suspected false advertising, fake reviews, and other illegal activities, and has transferred clues of making false certificates to the relevant authorities.
