Typhoon red alert, emergency evacuation and relocation of 260,000 people in Shenzhen.
On the evening of September 23, the wind in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province gradually increased. At 6pm on the 23rd, the Shenzhen Meteorological Observatory upgraded the typhoon orange warning signal for the entire city to red. According to the Shenzhen Flood Control, Drought Relief and Wind Control Command, in order to do well in the evacuation and emergency shelter work for the masses, Shenzhen has opened 865 indoor emergency shelters and stocked an adequate amount of supplies. Huang Ziying, a staff member of the Shenzhen Flood Control, Drought Relief and Wind Control Command Office, said: Up to 4pm on the 23rd, a total of 260,000 people have been evacuated and relocated in the city, with 45,000 people accommodated in shelters. All 15,000 responsible personnel in the city are on duty and fully engaged in various typhoon defense work.
