According to the Financial Times, the EU will conduct a review on whether Apple, Google, and Microsoft have failed to adequately crack down on online financial fraud, while also stepping up regulation on the online operations of large tech companies. EU Tech Chief Henna Virkkunen stated that EU regulatory authorities will issue formal information requests on Tuesday to these three American tech giants and global accommodation platform Booking Holdings, authorizing them to combat financial fraud in accordance with the Digital Services Act.
