Shanghai established a quantum artificial intelligence alliance.

The Quantum Intelligence Forum of the 2025 Pujiang Innovation Forum was held on September 21 in Shanghai. The Shanghai Quantum Artificial Intelligence Alliance, the Shanghai Quantum Technology Equipment Industry Innovation Alliance, and the Shanghai Quantum Computing Top Ten Application Scenarios were announced. The Shanghai Quantum Artificial Intelligence Alliance is composed of 12 research institutions, including Fudan University, Shanghai QiZhi Research Institute, Shanghai Quantum Science Research Center, and Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, as well as several leading companies in the quantum field. According to Professor Li Xiaopeng from the Department of Physics at Fudan University, in the next five years, the alliance will focus on interdisciplinary research in quantum artificial intelligence, break through basic theory, crucial core technologies, and key applications, and cultivate a high-level team of interdisciplinary talents in quantum artificial intelligence. The Shanghai Quantum Technology Equipment Industry Innovation Alliance, led by the Shanghai Academy of Sciences, is composed of key enterprises and some research institutions in the quantum technology field in the Yangtze River Delta region and is tasked with four core missions: industry agglomeration, collaborative research, standard formulation, and ecological construction.
