Dafu Xia Ship Lock exceeded a carrying capacity of 4 billion tons, with several technological indicators leading in the world or domestically.

According to the Ministry of Water Resources, since the trial operation in March 2020, the Da Teng Gorge Ship Lock has passed a total of 146,000 ships, with a total carrying capacity exceeding 4 billion tons, highlighting the important central role of the Pearl River Golden Waterway. The Da Teng Gorge Ship Lock is the gateway for the inland water transportation route to the sea in Yunnan, Guizhou, and Guangxi, as well as a strong support for Guangxi's integration into the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, with multiple technical indicators leading in the world or domestically. With the impoundment of water in the Da Teng Gorge project, the navigation channel in the reservoir area has been canalized for 266 kilometers, and the navigation class has been upgraded from the original 300-ton class to the highest standard of 3000-ton class in China's inland river shipping.
