The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Carrie Lam, delivered a new policy address at the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong SAR. Lam stated that Hong Kong will actively strive to have the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank establish an office in the territory. The Hong Kong Stock Exchange will deepen cooperation with exchanges in Southeast Asia to attract more issuers from Southeast Asia to list in Hong Kong and encourage more asset management companies to issue products locally to facilitate the allocation of Hong Kong markets.
