CITIC Securities Huang Wentao: The phenomenon of savings funds "moving" has also appeared in the mainland, and the trend of foreign capital inflow into Hong Kong stocks is very clear.
At the 2025 Global Investors Conference hosted by CITIC Securities today, Chief Economist Huang Wentao stated that the "East rising, West falling" trend in the capital markets is still continuing. The four main drivers currently influencing the transformation of the Eastern capital markets are capital inflow, technological innovation, institutional reform, and consumption upgrade. In terms of capital liquidity, foreign capital and long-term institutional funds continue to flow into the markets of both regions. At the same time, there is also a phenomenon of savings funds "moving" to the mainland, with a clear trend of foreign capital flowing into Hong Kong stocks. In terms of long-term funds, insurance companies and other institutions are also actively participating.
