The "Zhongguancun Initiative" was launched at the IASP 2025 World Conference.

On September 17th, the 2025 World Conference of the International Science and Technology Park and Innovation Zone Association opened at the Beijing National Convention Center. This is the fourth time that Beijing has hosted the top global event for science and technology parks, following 1995, 2005, and 2015. At the opening ceremony, leaders from the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and the Zhongguancun Management Committee jointly announced the "Initiative for Innovation Cooperation in the Zhongguancun International Science and Technology Park for IASP2025," proposing the construction of "innovative parks, green parks, smart parks, humanistic parks, and open parks." They called on science and technology parks worldwide to build a collaborative innovation network, promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, nurture high-level innovation talents, and advance green and sustainable development. This is the first time that the IASP world conference has issued an initiative, consolidating the broad consensus of international science and technology parks and proposing the future development direction for science and technology parks.
