Yiwei Lithium announced on the interactive platform on September 17 that the company has been making technological advancements in the solid-state battery field and has made relevant industrial planning. In the consumer battery sector, the company's gel-state battery solution has been used in atomizer products, aiming to achieve "food-grade safety". In the power and energy storage battery sector, the company is committed to significantly improving battery energy density, safety, and cycle life to drive the rapid development of electric vehicles, energy storage systems, and other fields. The company plans to achieve a breakthrough in full solid-state battery production processes by 2026, introducing a high-power, highly environmentally resistant, and absolutely safe full solid-state battery primarily for the hybrid power sector. In 2028, a high specific energy full solid-state battery of 400Wh/kg will be launched. In September 2025, the company's solid-state battery research institute in Chengdu officially unveiled its production base, with the successful launch of the "Longquan No. 2" full solid-state battery. The Chengdu base covers a total area of approximately 11,000 square meters, with an annual production capacity of nearly 500,000 battery cells after full operation. The base is divided into two phases of construction, with the first phase set to be completed in December 2025, equipped with the ability to manufacture 60Ah batteries; the second phase plans to achieve a 100MWh annual production capacity delivery by December 2026. The "Longquan No. 2" launched this time is a 10Ah full solid-state battery with a high energy density of up to 300Wh/kg and a volumetric energy density of 700Wh/L, mainly aimed at high-end equipment applications such as humanoid robots, low-altitude aircraft, and AI.
