Cook responds to doubts about the battery life of the iPhone Air.
Apple CEO Tim Cook recently visited the Corning plant in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, and gave an exclusive interview to CNBC host Jim Cramer. This visit not only revealed the latest products from Apple, but also included a major manufacturing investment plan. Cook showcased the new iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone Air, and introduced the public to the real-time translation feature added to AirPods. He then shifted the conversation to the iPhone Air, emphasizing its "professional-grade performance" in a smaller form factor, and stating that Apple's design intention was to highlight the respective strengths of the two models in order to make consumers hesitate between the two. Addressing concerns about the battery life of the iPhone Air, Cramer bluntly stated that most people would think a smaller size means shorter battery life. In response, Cook said: "[The iPhone Air's] battery performance is outstanding, you will definitely love it. We have carefully designed it inside and out, and with the eSIM-only design of the iPhone Air, eliminating the physical SIM card slot, the battery can extend into the original SIM card space, resulting in a larger capacity and longer battery life. In summary, this is truly a remarkable innovation."
