"OPEC+ agrees to further increase oil production on Sunday."
Sources said on Saturday that 8 OPEC+ member countries may increase oil production on Sunday, but the increase for October might be lower compared to the past few months due to a potential slowing global demand after the driving season ends. Two sources revealed on Saturday that the core of this meeting is to gradually fully cancel the previous production cut quotas. The 8 OPEC+ member countries are scheduled to hold an online meeting at 12:30 Greenwich Mean Time on Sunday, with the focus expected to be on production arrangements for October. One source indicated that the production increase for these countries in October may be 135,000 barrels per day, while another source mentioned that the increase for October could be close to 200,000 to 350,000 barrels per day.
In the previous meeting in August, these 8 member countries decided to increase production by 547,000 barrels per day in September, bringing the total annual increase to 2.5 million barrels per day, including an additional production quota of 300,000 barrels per day allocated to the UAE.
