General Motors announced that due to uncertainty in demand, they will adjust the production plan for the Chevrolet Bolt electric vehicle. Originally scheduled to be produced at a factory in Kansas in a two-shift system, production will now start in December with a single shift system. The $3.4 trillion fiscal plan proposed by Trump previously not only eliminates incentives for purchasing electric vehicles, but also abolishes the rule that requires automakers to pay fines if they do not meet federal fuel economy standards.
