The South Korean natural gas company announced today in a press release that it has signed a liquefied natural gas import contract with suppliers, including the global energy company Toko, in Washington, D.C. The company will begin importing an additional approximately 3.3 million tons of liquefied natural gas annually starting in 2028 for about ten years, mainly from the United States. The company expects that this contract will help diversify its supply lines, as previously its supply lines were mainly concentrated in the Middle East region, with the United States becoming its main supplier.
