OpenAI is in discussions with the UK regarding an agreement related to ChatGPT Plus.
According to reports, OpenAI co-founder Sam Altman and UK Minister of Technology Peter Kyle have discussed a potential agreement to grant UK residents access to their advanced products. Sources revealed that this idea was proposed during a meeting in San Francisco, where the two parties were discussing broader opportunities for collaboration between OpenAI and the UK. Individuals familiar with the discussion stated that Kyle did not seriously consider the idea, especially due to the potential cost of up to 2 billion pounds. However, these discussions indicate that despite concerns about the accuracy of some chatbot responses, as well as privacy and copyright issues, the Minister of Technology remains extremely enthusiastic about the field of artificial intelligence.
