Nexstar announces it will acquire television station operator Tegna for $3.5 billion in cash.

On August 19th, the American media group Nexstar issued a statement announcing that it had agreed to acquire the television station operator Tegna for $3.5 billion in cash. Nexstar stated that this deal will increase its coverage of American households to 80%.
