On the evening of August 16th, according to media reports, a consumer in Xi'an, Shaanxi, complained about a local Hai Di Lao store. For the same spicy hot pot dish in the store, it was shown as sold out at a cheaper price with a Meituan coupon, but could still be purchased at a slightly higher flash purchase price. The consumer recently purchased a Meituan exclusive voucher for Hai Di Lao, "the voucher can be used across the city, but when I went to use it, I found that the dry hot pot dish was shown as sold out at the Yitian store of Hai Di Lao and the voucher could not be used." The consumer said that they then checked the same dish on a flash purchase website and found that it was still available for around 30 yuan, while the exclusive voucher was only 22 yuan. The same dish, same Hai Di Lao store, could be ordered at a higher price through flash purchase but showed as sold out with the Meituan coupon. In response to the complaint, an official from Hai Di Lao stated that the pricing and promotions of Hai Di Lao's dishes on different platforms are consistent, but due to the influence of activities on third-party platforms, the final price presented to consumers may vary.
