The Central Meteorological Observatory issued a blue warning for heavy rain at 06:00 on August 16th.

It is expected that from 08:00 on August 16th to 08:00 on the 17th, there will be heavy to torrential rain in some areas of eastern Jilin, eastern and southern Liaoning, central Inner Mongolia, central Shanxi, southern and northeastern Hebei, central and southern Tianjin, northern and eastern Shandong, western and southern Sichuan Basin, central and northern Chongqing, northwestern Yunnan, coastal southern Guangxi, southwestern coastal Guangdong, and Hainan Island. In some areas mentioned above, there will be locally heavy rainstorms, with locally severe convective weather such as short-term heavy precipitation and thunderstorms with strong winds.
