On the 13th, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Carrie Lam, met with Minister of Education, Huai Jinpeng, at Government House in Hong Kong to exchange views on deepening educational and research collaboration between mainland China and Hong Kong. Carrie Lam welcomed Minister Huai Jinpeng to visit Hong Kong and attend the China International University Student Innovation Competition regional competition in Hong Kong and other educational events. Carrie Lam stated that the Ministry of Education strongly supports the Hong Kong SAR government in optimizing education work and developing Hong Kong into an international education hub and a gathering place for international high-end talent. Hong Kong is the only city in the world with five top 100 universities, and the SAR government is promoting the "Study in Hong Kong" brand through various measures while also promoting higher education cooperation between the mainland and Hong Kong to support the national strategy of revitalizing the country through science and education, building a strong talent pool, and driving innovation-led development.
