The Ministry of Commerce of China released the preliminary ruling of the anti-dumping investigation on imported halogenated butyl rubber originating from Canada, Japan, and India.
The Ministry of Commerce announced the preliminary ruling on the anti-dumping investigation of imported chloroprene rubber originated from Canada, Japan, and India. The investigative agency preliminarily determined that there was dumping of the imported products originating from Canada and Japan, which caused substantial damage to the domestic chloroprene rubber industry, and there is a causal link between the dumping and the substantial damage. According to Articles 28 and 29 of the Anti-Dumping Regulations, the investigative agency decided to implement temporary anti-dumping measures in the form of security deposits. Starting from August 14, 2025, importers should provide corresponding security deposits to the People's Republic of China Customs based on the security deposit rates determined by the preliminary ruling when importing chloroprene rubber from Canada and Japan.
