On the same day, Zelensky also separately spoke with British Prime Minister Stammer, Danish Prime Minister Frederiksen, French President Macron, and Spanish Prime Minister Sanchez over the phone. Macron stated after the call that due to concerns about European security, Europe must be involved in finding a "solution" to the Ukrainian crisis. According to previous reports, when Trump spoke with European leaders on the 6th, he mentioned plans to meet with the leaders of Russia and Ukraine, but European leaders were not included in the discussions. The US New York Times reported that Trump sees Europe as an "untrustworthy entity." According to a recent report from NBC News on the 9th, a senior US official and three informed sources disclosed that the White House is considering inviting Zelensky to visit Alaska. The sources stated that this matter is still under discussion, and it is not yet clear whether Zelensky will ultimately travel to Alaska for the talks. A senior White House official stated that Trump is still willing to hold a trilateral summit with the two leaders. Currently, the White House is focused on planning the bilateral meeting requested by Putin.
