This morning, the first 9,000-vehicle car carrier "GRANDE TIANJIN," built for the Italian company Grimaldi by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Shipbuilding Group Limited, was named and delivered. Since delivering its first 150,000-ton offshore floating production storage vessel "Marine Oil 111" in 2003, Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding has completed and delivered a total of 600 ships and offshore platforms, totaling 1.202 billion deadweight tons. With an average annual delivery efficiency of 27 ships/463.7 million deadweight tons, it continues to refresh records in Chinese shipbuilding industry.
