Lockheed Martin (LMT.US) faces another blow as Swiss political circles are pushing to acquire F-35 fighter jets in retaliation for US tariffs.

According to the Intelligent Financial News app, political figures from various parties in Switzerland are trying to cancel the order for 36 F-35A fighter jets from American defense company Lockheed Martin (LMT.US). Previously, US President Trump imposed the harshest global tariffs on Switzerland. After Trump implemented a tariff policy of up to 39% on Switzerland, the call within the Swiss government to withdraw or at least reconsider its purchase plan of up to 7.3 billion Swiss francs (approximately 9.1 billion US dollars) has become increasingly strong.
