According to the Guangdong Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention, from August 3, 2025 at 0:00 to August 9, 2025 at 24:00, there were 1387 newly reported local cases of dengue fever in Guangdong Province. There were no reports of severe cases or deaths. The cases were distributed in Foshan (1212 cases), Guangzhou (103 cases), Zhanjiang (39 cases), Qingyuan (6 cases), Shenzhen and Zhuhai (5 cases each), Zhongshan (4 cases), Huizhou (3 cases), Shaoguan and Dongguan (2 cases each), Shantou, Jiangmen, Yangjiang, Chaozhou, Jieyang, and Yunfu (1 case each).
