Morgan JP Private Bank strategist Julia Wang said that global stock markets still present opportunities. We are raising our year-end and 12-month targets for the Standard & Poor's 500 Index supported by strong performance and improved valuations, as macroeconomic risks decrease. We continue to recommend investing in globally diversified large-cap stocks rather than small-cap stocks, and focusing on industries that benefit from long-term growth trends and strong earnings momentum. Technology and finance sectors are still favored by the bank. The base forecast is for the S&P 500 Index to reach 6,350-6,450 points by year-end and 6,650-6,750 points in the next 12 months.
