Julia Wang, a strategist at J.P. Morgan Private Bank, said that global stock markets still present opportunities. They are raising their year-end and 12-month target for the S&P 500 index, supported by strong performance and valuation improvements, due to reduced macro tail risks. They continue to recommend investing globally in a diversified manner, favoring large-cap stocks over small-cap stocks, and focusing on industries benefiting from long-term growth trends and strong earnings momentum. Technology and finance sectors are still favored by the bank. Their base forecast is the S&P 500 index target to be in the range of 6,350-6,450 points by year-end, and 6,650-6,750 points over the next 12 months.
