Dongfeng Nanotechnology responds to the issue of nano 06 intelligent driving veering off course.

Recently, some Dongfeng NANO 06 owners have reported that the L2 intelligent driving assistant function of this model tends to drift to the right and requires manual correction. On August 7th, Dongfeng NANO responded to this issue in the latest question and answer session for users. For the 401 Ultra and 471 Ultra models, Dongfeng NANO explained that both models' intelligent driving assistants use an "end-to-end model" which trains based on input data, leading to a tendency to drift right. This is because the "model" does not choose the center of the lane for a short period of time when selecting the driving path, and then returns to the center. Dongfeng NANO stated that the model is constantly being trained and optimized, with improvements expected in the OTA software update scheduled for October. Dongfeng NANO also mentioned two other potential causes for the issue: automatic slight avoidance when encountering a vehicle in the adjacent lane, which may create the sensation of drifting; and a visual illusion - due to the driver's seat being on the left side, even when the vehicle is actually driving in the middle of the lane, the driver may subconsciously feel a drift towards the right.
