An oil well in Indonesia exploded, injuring two workers.

On the morning of August 5th, an oil well in Sumbang, West Java Province, Indonesia exploded, injuring two workers. The oil well belongs to the Indonesian National Oil Company, and the company's public relations manager stated that the explosion occurred around 4:30 local time on the 5th and was located in the carbon dioxide removal area of the natural gas pipeline. Two workers were burned in the explosion, one severely and the other lightly, and have been taken to the hospital for treatment. It is reported that the two workers were preparing to inspect a suspected leaking gas pipeline at the time of the explosion. The fire caused by the explosion has been extinguished. The cause of the accident is under further investigation.
