The Dow rose 1.34%, the Nasdaq rose 1.95%, and the S&P 500 index rose 1.47%. The telecommunications and technology sectors both rose by at least about 2%, while the energy sector dropped by 0.5%, performing the worst. The Nasdaq 100 index closed up 1.8% with popular technology stocks rising: IDEXX Laboratories up 27.5%, MSTR up 6.1%, Shopify up 5.5%, Palantir and nuclear power stock CEG both up over 4%. Amazon, on the other hand, fell 1.4%, Adobe fell 2.4%, Decheng Medical fell 3.9%, and ON Semiconductor fell 15.4%.
