On the 4th local time, Alexandre de Moraes, a judge of the Brazilian Federal Supreme Court, announced that former President Jair Bolsonaro had violated the rules by using the social media accounts of his three sons and other allies in Congress to spread information that "clearly encourages and incites attacks on the Supreme Federal Court and openly supports foreign intervention in the Brazilian justice system". Therefore, he ordered him to be placed under house arrest and banned from going out. Moraes believes that Bolsonaro's actions clearly violate the preventive measures previously imposed on him, so he ordered him to be prohibited from leaving the house, wear an electronic ankle monitor, prohibit visits from anyone other than family members and lawyers, and confiscate his communication devices at home. Moraes also stated that Bolsonaro's behavior shows "the need to take harsher measures against him to prevent him from committing crimes again."
