Hong Kong Land Registry: The total value of building contracts in July reached HK$54.6 billion, an increase of 28% year-on-year.

According to the Economic Digest app, the Land Registry of Hong Kong released the statistical figures for the month of July 2025 today (August 4). In July, a total of 7,212 building sale and purchase agreements were submitted for registration, a decrease of 0.8% compared to the previous month, but an increase of 37.1% compared to the same period last year. When calculated using a twelve-month moving average, there were 5,974 building sale and purchase agreements in July, an increase of 2.8% compared to the previous month, and an increase of 21.2% compared to the same period last year. The total value of building sale and purchase agreements in July was HK$54.6 billion, a decrease of 17.8% compared to the previous month, but an increase of 28.0% compared to the same period last year.
