In response to this round of rainfall, the city's transportation department has activated the mechanism for defense against road weather disasters, thoroughly assessed the impact of rainfall on potential geological disasters in the affected areas, arranged patrol personnel reasonably, increased patrol strength in key areas, intensified patrol frequency, strengthened video surveillance simultaneously, promptly implemented road section control and warning measures when risks are identified. For potential geological disaster points with large amounts of rainfall, steep slopes, water-crossing bridges and culverts, tunnel entrances and exits, etc., road sections that are not secure will be firmly closed, and pedestrians and vehicles will be strictly prohibited from passing through to prevent casualties. The transportation department particularly reminds the public that due to heavy rainfall during the flood season, there is a high risk of landslides and collapses in mountainous areas, so it is advisable for citizens to avoid traveling to mountainous areas as much as possible.
