The Shanghai Ocean Monitoring and Forecasting Center, in consultation with the Ministry of Natural Resources' Tsunami Warning Center, predicts that the duration of the tsunami wave impact will last 2-3 hours. From 19:00 to 22:00 today, Shanghai's coastal areas along the river are in the ebb tide period. Despite the combined impact of the tsunami waves and Typhoon "Zhujiacao," the coastal areas around the mouth of the Yangtze River are expected to experience a sea level rise of 100-180 centimeters, while the northern coast of Hangzhou Bay is expected to experience a rise of 0-30 centimeters. However, the representative tide gauge stations along the Shanghai coast will not exceed the alert level. The Shanghai flood control department will closely monitor the situation, while the Shanghai marine department will continue to track and analyze tsunami monitoring data and timely release relevant information.
