Colombian court rules that former president Uribe is guilty of two charges.

On July 28, local time, the Criminal Circuit Court in Colombia sentenced the former president of Colombia, Uribe, for "criminal bribery" and "procedural fraud", with "simple bribery" not being established. Uribe, now 73, served as president of Colombia from 2002 to 2010. The Supreme Court of Colombia approved Uribe's arrest on August 4, 2020, placing him under house arrest on suspicion of accepting bribes, buying witnesses, and procedural fraud.
